It depends on what caused the nasal bleed and how drastic it is. 1st you should apply pressure(pinch), use cold packs and have the pt hold his head upright(not back bc of aspiration precautions and not too low bc you don't want to obstruct the airway). Then assess the nasal passages. Some ppl will benefit from just this or a nasal spray and some ppl might need cauterization if severe.

May be sinusites befor i have bleeding from nose and diagnosed sinusites after tretment by antibiotic. Stop bleeding
